Measurement technology from Micro-Epsilon is being used on measurement machines made by engineering company EHR from Pforzheim. Precision machines from EHR are used to inspect hypoid-toothed gearbox components or cutting tools for crankshafts. The scanCONTROL 2800 laser scanner is mounted centrally on the measurement system and can be moved. Unlike conventional tool presetters, not only can external areas be scanned from this position, but also internal profiles of measurement objects. The laser scanner provides a resolution of up to 1µm and is adapted according to the measurement accuracy and cycle time requirements.
As well as the scanCONTROL 2800 laser scanner, optoNCDT 1700 laser sensors and optoNCDT 2401 confocal sensors are also used in this measuring station.
