Maximum measuring range with optoNCDT 1710-1000
21.01.2010
The previous maximum measuring range of 750mm for the optoNCDT 1710-1000 has now been extended to 1,000mm. Due to a base distance of 1m, the sensor can also measure distances very accurately at up to 2m away. The sensor operates with an integrated controller in a compact 200mm x 83mm x 48mm housing. The diameter of the light spot is constant across the complete beam path. With a measuring rate of 2.5kHz, the sensor offers100µm resolution without averaging. 4 … 20mA, 0 … 10V, RS422 or USB outputs are available.
The optoNCDT 1710-1000 is used for measuring objects that have a large degree of freedom of movement. Other possible applications are in harsh ambient conditions where the sensor measures onto the object from a safe distance or if the target is in a vacuum. The sensor also operates reliably in the case of high target temperatures or if the sensor cannot be mounted close to the target. Like all other models in the 1700 series, the optoNCDT 1710-1000 also has a unique RTSC feature for real-time compensation of changing target surfaces. A high quality signal is therefore achieved, even when the reflection characteristics of the target surface.
